To Touch the Sky

paliojen_black Wonderful, beautiful, densely layered music. I'm glad I gave this album several headphone listens before commenting. It did not immediately strike a chord with me, but the more I listened the more I began to understand and appreciate how fantastically rich and deep the sound is. For fans of atmospheric and melodic prog, this is an excellent addition. Bass and drum work are exquisite! Favorite track: And I Stood Transfixed.

rumpo_80 Quality stuff this, highly recommend. Three well-crafted long songs, very chill, lovely melodies and strong instrumentation. Favorite track: And I Stood Transfixed.

Nickie Harte Kelly This latest release from Tree and Ally is my favourite, although there is plenty to love with their earlier outings. Symphonic and ethereal, three long tracks are best begun from the beginning. Favorite track: The Awakening.

1.
While all are sleeping and none is stirring, the silence of the night. The silence of the night. While some are dreaming, none has woken, soon will be the dawn. Soon will be the dawn. Now one awakens, his eyes are open, soon will come the light. Soon will come the light.
2.
And I stood transfixed. And I stood transfixed. And I stood, ah. And I stood, ah, transfixed.
3.
The Ascent 22:17
To stand before it, in all its glory, to see its beauty above the clouds, Will we make it? That’s another story, but it’s our duty at least to try, To find a bold path, that takes us higher, far above vast and misty shrouds, To face its cold wrath with inner fire, and then at last to touch the sky Lost upon it, we feel no glory, a snowy wasteland within the clouds, We brace the deep wrath, for how we tire, on our knees where eagles fly. Lost Lost Lost Where’s the steep path to take us higher, safe above these icy shrouds, Can we make it, or end the story? Time for haste or time to die. To stand upon it, in all our glory, to see this beauty, here on high, To know we’ve done it, and tell our story, it was our duty to touch the sky
